Google Android: What’s New?

Finally, Google unveiled its next generation Android operating system, called Android 2.2. Actually, it is better known as Froyo. With the help of it Android smartphones
will be more flexible as well as powerful.
Some changes were made in the operating system. You will find that Android 2.2 is able to run five times faster than the previous versions. It is due to a new Dalvik JIT compiler that offers better CPU performance. Also it has become faster thanks to a new Javascript engine.
Moreover, Android 2.2 is considered to be the first Android edition that will be enabled with support for Adobe Flash as well as Adobe Air.
Also the new operating system is equipped with support for tethering. But if you want, you are able to switch your Android handset into a wireless modem with or without Android 2.2. The thing is that you have to know how to do that.
Apart from tethering, the operating system comes with the ability, due to which you are able to make use of your handset as a Wi-Fi hotspot. It can be done by means of spreading 3G connection to other devices wirelessly. In this case carriers have to sign off on this and may allow it for free or probably they refuse to do that.
Now you are provided with an opportunity to install apps on a SD card. As a result, before installing any app, you can choose where you want to install it, i.e. internal storage or SD card.
